Job Title: Training Specialist / Tier 1 FaaS
Location: Patrick Space Force Base, FL (Space Coast)
Clearance Requirement: Secret
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Training Specialist / Tier 1 Functional as a Service (FaaS) professional to support the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) in a Working Capital Fund (WCF) environment. This individual will provide Tier 1 help desk support, deliver functional system assistance, and develop and execute training programs for end-users of financial management systems. The ideal candidate is experienced in financial management, training development, and end-user support with a strong understanding of federal financial systems and accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Tier 1 Support:
Serve as the first point of contact for end-user functional issues related to financial and accounting systems.
Provide user support, troubleshoot minor issues, and escalate unresolved cases to Tier 2/3 as needed.
Monitor and respond to user tickets promptly and professionally.
Training Development & Delivery:
Develop comprehensive end-user training programs, schedules, and supporting materials such as agendas, desk-level guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Provide training on accounting/business systems including user roles and functional task execution responsibilities.
Conduct live or virtual training sessions and refresher courses as needed.
Systems and Process Improvement:
Coordinate and facilitate Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) with stakeholders to identify process gaps, clarify requirements, and align on business capabilities.
Prioritize business requirements for financial systems development and support.
Support the implementation of functional enhancements and upgrades to accounting systems.
Functional System Support:
Offer functional guidance and support for the accounting system and ensure end-users are able to navigate and use tools effectively.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems by capturing and analyzing feedback from users and stakeholders.
Job requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 10 years of financial management experience in a Working Capital Fund (WCF) environment, OR
5 years of financial management experience and one of the following:
Master’s in Business Administration (MBA)
Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM)
Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Desirable:
Experience in accounting operations management.
Familiarity with the DISA and FAMIS system or similar financial management systems.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of federal accounting principles and financial systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to translate complex financial and system information into practical training content.
Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience with training platforms or LMS is a plus.
