Strategic Communications SME

Position Title: Strategic Communications SME (SET)
Location: El Segundo, CA
Clearance: Active TS/SCI required

U.S. Citizenship required

OMNI is seeking a high-impact Strategic Communications SME to join the Space Systems Command (SSC) Strategic Engagement Team (SET). This is a mission-critical role supporting senior Space Force leadership shaping messaging, driving communication strategy, and influencing key acquisition programs in a fast-paced national security environment.

• Lead development of executive-level communications (briefings, talking points, point papers, Congressional responses)

• Drive strategic messaging aligned with Space Force and DoD priorities

• Manage high-visibility taskers using TMT and coordinate across SSC, MAJCOM, and DoD stakeholders

• Support eSSS packages and senior leader engagements

• Partner with program offices to align communications with acquisition milestones and mission objectives

• 15+ years of DoD/federal acquisition experience (USSF, USAF, SSC, NASA)

• 5+ years supporting space programs strongly preferred

• Master’s degree in a related field

• Exceptional writing, briefing, and stakeholder engagement skills

• Ability to operate confidently in high-tempo, senior leadership environments
