Job description

The Graphic Designer 

  • Design captivating graphics for newsletters, infographics, web promotions, social media, and email campaigns, ensuring they align with project goals and brand guidelines.
  • Develop compelling videos and animations to enhance promotional content and educational materials, utilizing tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and video editing software.
  • Collaborate closely with the program manager to understand project requirements, deadlines, and objectives, providing creative solutions to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Support other teams or initiatives with graphic design needs as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute beyond the scope of the role.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in graphic design and multimedia production, sharing insights and recommendations with the team as appropriate.
  • Create videos in various formats including testimonials, leadership announcements, animations, informational, and historical content, ensuring each video meets the desired objectives and maintains a high level of visual appeal.

Job requirements

  • Proven experience in graphic design and multimedia production, with a robust portfolio showcasing your creative work across different mediums.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and video editing tools.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and principles, such as 508 compliance, is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to take initiative and provide support beyond the defined scope of work.
  • A degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or a related field is preferred but not required; relevant experience and a strong portfolio will be considered.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel required.

Hybrid in Washington D.C
