Location: On-site – Washington, D.C.
Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance

Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Manager to support in all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and execution. This role provides critical financial management support to Government Business Financial Managers (BFMs) and serves as a key interface with the government branch lead. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in DoD acquisition financial processes, advanced Excel skills, and hands-on experience with key financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support BFMs in developing and submitting budget inputs and updates.

  • Track Program Objective Memorandum (POM) funding allocations and adjustments across ship platforms and GFE/CFE systems.

  • Generate and analyze execution data and reports from financial databases to inform program decision-making.

  • Interface directly with the SHIPS AM government branch lead to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and tracking.

  • Develop and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets, including use of pivot tables, formulas, linked workbooks, and data consolidation techniques.

  • Ensure financial data integrity across ERP and PBIS systems, and support reconciliation and variance analysis as needed.

  • Contribute to briefings, reports, and strategic financial planning in support of DoD acquisition objectives.

Job requirements

  1. Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.

  2. Experience:

    • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in financial management within DoD acquisition programs.

    • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Program Budget Information System (PBIS).

  3. Skills:

    • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, workbook linking, and data analysis tools.

    • Strong understanding of DoD budgeting processes, POM development, and execution tracking.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with government leadership.

  4. Clearance:
    Active Secret Clearance is required.
